Learn to grow your own food with a FREE course at the Community Allotment

Are you interested in learning how to grow your own food? If so, why not sign up for some free beginners sessions at the Community Allotment.

This informal course is split into two four-hour sessions, with an emphasis on practical work and getting your hands dirty! You will learn the basics of food growing, from deciding what to grow, preparing the ground, sowing seeds and caring for your plants.

The course will be running on Thursday 11th and Thursday 18th April from 10am - 2pm, and you need to attend both sessions. If there is enough demand, the same course will be repeated on Saturday 13th and Saturday 27th April (again, you would need to attend both Saturday sessions).

If you are interested in attending the course, please e-mail Vicky on v.belcham@tcv.org.uk  stating whether you wish to book a place on the Thursday course or the Saturday course. The sessions will be held at the Community Allotment in Wigston, and a map and more details will be sent out on receipt of your booking.
